Evil & Beauty

Evil & Beauty, now

there's two things that are opposites,

if I ever saw them. It seems somehow

they can cancel each other out.

For instance, if Evil exists,

a true maliscious enjoyment of

the suffering of another, then

how could anything at all be Beautiful?

Unless it was opposed to Evil, of course.

And had a joy to it that was ever resistant

to said malice. But then,

if such joy is discoverable occasionally,

along the way, then how come it can't

be expanded upon and maximized,

to the nth degree?

Ugh, the nth degree sounds odious,

does it not? And so we see the opposites,

with rude cancellation powers,

and joy

interrupting Evil with a laugh.

A laughing in its face, as if it never

will share a breath.

Which is why Evil is cordoned off in Hell

(in some world views)

where the fires burn incessantly.

Who really breaths much there,

except for the fire?
