those in the dry ice
smoke filled room.

he says.

1 800 LOVE GOD
and then
Weight Watchers.

The answer
is: what would
David do?
“I’m not Geraldo!”
says other guy…

4) Imaginary Power

 “Imaginary Power,
Real Horizons
- The Practicality
of Utopianism”
looks like
a good

book, underneath this
poem. Meanwhile
the Eagles play a
meaningless game since
they’re already in.
But the grass, it looks

so good and green,
I can smell the mud
just about, like
when I was
fourteen and playing
myself.

I wonder where…
woops we lost the
signal, guess
we’ll watch X-Files

instead.

is so late
and tired
and drowsy

I think I’ll take
a nap on Sunday
afternoon, with the
football game on,
because who cares.

The Eagles are
already going to
the playoffs.
Wish I had
a vegan cheesesteak:

I forgot about
the special feeling
of the very
first one,

until I wrote
that title, which
popped into my mind
when i picked up
the pen.

I would’ve known
better if, instead
I’d been reading
my Nicanor Parra
book, which sits

under
my
phone
over
there

Tesla trucks at Trump's Towers

 

 No clocks in prison, as if I would know. But when people are gone, they’re not gone. Not that it’s crowded here yet it’s more like a roller coaster. Not even a merry-go-round. Which used to be a big city draw. But now, everyone is on their phones. Pressing spots that are made to look like buttons, and then exploding. Incinerating brains and Tesla trucks at Trump’s tower. On the phone, on the phone, no clock on the phone.
